Growth in Life and in Spirituality

Here at Christ Church, we do more than just Sunday services. We have a number of programs running that can broaden your horizons, introduce you to other parishioners, and help enrich your world.

Church Choir

Book Club

Book & Bible Studies

Church Choir meets every Wednesday at 6:30 pm in the church, from September to June. The choir sings at every 10:00 am Sunday service, and occasionally at funerals or other special events. All are welcome, regardless of musical background.

Rector's Readers Book Club meets once a month on a Thursday at 2:00 pm in the priest's office. The participants read a predetermined book and come together to discuss their thoughts on the book. These are often focused on novels, occasionally with a local or current events connection.

Book and Bible Studies are intermittently held when there is a session hosted by one of our parishioners. In the past there have been studies focused on It's a Wonderful Life for Advent, The Wall Between about Israel and Palestine, and others.

  • There is a new study coming up in March:

Educational Series: Muhammad - A Reflection of History and Faith

Join Michael Moneke on Sundays after church in the lower hall on March 29 and April 12th (11:30am). As part of Michael's Masters course, he will be leading two educational sessions. During these gatherings, we will briefly explore the Islamic faith through reflections on Muhammad, using Karen Armstrong's book Muhammad: A Prophet for Our Time.

Please RSVP your attendance to the parish office 902.466.4270 or christchurch@christchurchdartmouth.com. Please indicate if you wish to have a copy of the book ordered by March 11th. The book is not required for the educational sessions.

The book can also be ordered online.
