Members of the Pastoral Ministry Committee are looking for your help! A growing trend that we are seeing around the world and in our city are knitted poppies to recognize the sacrifice of the men and woman who have served our country. We are looking for people in our parish and the wider community to take up knitting some poppies so we can have them in place for our Remembrance Service for November 7th. We look to also display them outside.
Below is a downloadable pattern. The size needle suggested is quite easy to manage and takes very little time. It’s quite amazing to see how many poppies can be knit from a regular sized ball of yarn! Please bring them to church or drop off at the office for November 3rd.
Also below is an example of what we are looking to do for outside our church.
