ABOUT SAMUEL Samuel was raised in a rural community near Saint John, New Brunswick and within the Baptist tradition. He first began to worship as an Anglican in 2015 when he moved to Halifax to study Classics and Religion at the University of King’s College. At King’s, he met his wife, Helen. Following their marriage, they lived and worshipped for three years in the Anglican Parish of Rothesay, where he served as Youth and Families Minister, introducing children, youth and their families to the church as a sacred space for them. In June of 2023, he was accepted as a postulant for ordination in the Diocese of Fredericton. Today, his formation for priestly ministry continues at the Atlantic School of Theology, as he and Helen await the arrival of their first child.
